Getting Ready for the Big Change

The caterpillers climbed up to the top.  One is hanging from the cover. He looks like a "J".



They got even bigger.  They ate a lot of food.



I think we can move them to the hatchery soon!

The caterpillars all grew!  The small one got bigger



And the big ones got bigger



The caterpillars made webs.  I saw one making a web



The caterpillars were on their back and they were eating the brown stuff.

The caterpillars need to grow. There is a small one, a medium one, and a big one.



Caterpillars have stubby little legs. They eat the brown stuff at the bottom of the cup and they make webs.

The caterpillars came in the mail today.



Mom took them out of the box right away.  I was so excited I called dad and asked him to come home and look at them with me.  When dad came home, we read the instructions together.  Then we looked at them.  I counted three caterpillars.



One of them was hanging from the cover.



They were very wiggly.



Jacob likes to look at the caterpillars too. We are going to be very careful with them so they don't get sick.
